Jerome Behymer’s Will

 

In the Name of the Benevolent Father of All, Amen

I Jerome Behymer of the Village of Bethel County of Clermont and State of Ohio being about 57 years of age, and being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making null and void all other Last Wills and Testament by me made heretofore.

First

My will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be paid out of my Estate, as soon after my decease as shall be found convenient.

Second

I hereby set apart one Hundred Dollars out of my Estate to be used for the erection of a monument at the graves of my departed wife and myself.

Item 3rd

I hereby give devise and bequeath to my son Lloyd Perry Behymer two hundred dollars to be paid to him out of my estate as my Executor herein named in his judgment thinks it necessary, and in such Sums as He thinks best for my Son herein named.

Item 4th

I hereby give devise and bequeath all the residue of my estate to my two sons Elbert Meade Behymer and Lloyd Perry Behymer, Each of them to have an equal share thereof.

Item 5th

I hereby nominate and appoint my Brother Seneca Behymer Executor of this my last will and Testament. I desire that no appraisement of my personal property be made but that my Executor herein named be and is hereby authorized to dispose of my personal property as he may think best. I do also authorize and empower him to sell all of my Real estate, and deeds to purchasers to execute, acknowledge and deliver in fee simple.

In testimony whereof I have set my hand to this my Last Will and Testament at Bethel Ohio this 13th day of January in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety Six.

The foregoing Instrument was signed by the said Jerome Behymer in our presence and by him published and declared as and for his Last Will and Testament and at His request and in our presence and in the presence of each other, we hereunto subscribed our names as attesting witnesses at Bethel Ohio this 15th day of January A. D. 1896
