William Becklehymer’s Will
In the name of God amen I William Becklehymer of the County of Clermont and State of Ohio being sick and weak in body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave this world when it shall please God to call me hence do therefore make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say
First and principally I commit my soul into the hands of almighty God and my body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my executrix herein after named and after my debts and funeral charges are paid I devise and bequeath as follows
I devise and bequeath all the rest and residue of my estate both real and personal to my wife Rachael Becklehymer
And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my dear wife Rachel Becklehymer to be sole executrix of this my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former wills by me heretofore made ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament in testimony whereof I William Becklehymer have at the bottom set my hand and seal this twenty first day of September 1842

Personally came into open Court John Trus? and Charles Rogers who being duly sworn say that they at the special request of William Becklehymer both subscribed the will here presented to the Court and saw the said William Becklehymer subscribe the same and heard him declare it to be his last will and testament and further that the said Becklehymer was over the years of twenty one and of sound mind and memory and not under any restraint and further that we subscribed the same as witnesses in his presence
