I just had a fun little adventure. \u00a0A little tabby kitten was running behind all my stuff out back. \u00a0I went to chase it out of the yard. \u00a0As\u00a0I chased it\u00a0out front it darted\u00a0into\u00a0the house\u00a0through\u00a0the door I\u00a0had\u00a0left closed, but\u00a0not enough\u00a0to catch\u00a0the latch.\u00a0\u00a0It darted\u00a0into H’s\u00a0bedroom.\u00a0\u00a0Being\u00a0as messy as it\u00a0is it\u00a0took me\u00a0about 5 minutes\u00a0to\u00a0find\u00a0the\u00a0thing\u00a0cowering under her\u00a0bed. \u00a0After a little scuffle it tried\u00a0to hide on\u00a0top\u00a0of the books\u00a0on\u00a0the first shelf.\u00a0\u00a0Unfortunately\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0cat\u00a0that\u00a0was\u00a0a nice place\u00a0for me\u00a0to grab it.\u00a0\u00a0It scratched\u00a0me\u00a0and I\u00a0threw\u00a0it out her\u00a0door\u00a0and down\u00a0the hall.\u00a0\u00a0It decided\u00a0it\u00a0didn’t want\u00a0to\u00a0leave\u00a0so it ran into V’s\u00a0room.\u00a0\u00a0I saw it run under\u00a0the\u00a0bed\u00a0so I went\u00a0and closed H’s\u00a0door\u00a0and\u00a0the bathroom\u00a0door,\u00a0and placed\u00a0a box across\u00a0the entry\u00a0into\u00a0the family\u00a0room\u00a0so it\u00a0would\u00a0have\u00a0to run\u00a0out\u00a0the open front\u00a0door. \u00a0I lifted up her\u00a0bed\u00a0to grab\u00a0the cat\u00a0and it\u00a0wasn’t\u00a0there.\u00a0\u00a0I searched around her\u00a0room.\u00a0\u00a0I\u00a0cleaned it\u00a0the\u00a0other\u00a0day\u00a0so there wasn’t many places to hide.\u00a0\u00a0Crap, it\u00a0was\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0closet.\u00a0\u00a0I pulled\u00a0a few boxes\u00a0out\u00a0and saw\u00a0the\u00a0tip of\u00a0it’s tail.\u00a0\u00a0It\u00a0was hiding\u00a0behind a huge stack\u00a0of boxes.\u00a0\u00a0I\u00a0pushed\u00a0one\u00a0corner\u00a0of\u00a0the boxes\u00a0up against\u00a0the\u00a0wall\u00a0so it\u00a0was\u00a0wedged in\u00a0there\u00a0and it started\u00a0to\u00a0hiss.\u00a0\u00a0If there\u00a0is\u00a0any\u00a0sound\u00a0in the world I hate as much\u00a0as\u00a0a cat hiss I have yet\u00a0to\u00a0hear it. \u00a0That\u00a0was it.\u00a0\u00a0It\u00a0had\u00a0to go.\u00a0\u00a0I grabbed a bib\u00a0out of\u00a0the\u00a0basket\u00a0and wrapped it up\u00a0so it\u00a0wouldn’t scratch.\u00a0\u00a0It wiggled free\u00a0and ran\u00a0into\u00a0the\u00a0hall closet\u00a0where\u00a0the kids keep\u00a0all\u00a0the pillows.\u00a0\u00a0One by\u00a0one I threw\u00a0out\u00a0the pillows\u00a0and after\u00a0the last\u00a0one I got it\u00a0to run\u00a0out\u00a0the\u00a0door.<\/p>\n
I guess I learned my lesson.\u00a0\u00a0Always\u00a0close\u00a0the\u00a0door until it latches.<\/p>\n
At least it\u00a0wasn’t\u00a0a rat,\u00a0although\u00a0had it been\u00a0I would\u00a0have had\u00a0no qualms\u00a0with just killing it.\u00a0\u00a0I may hate cats, but I still\u00a0have trouble killing\u00a0them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
